Haymaking

The wildflower meadow has been overdue being mown, so we mentioned it to our neighbour JJ as we thought that our other french neighbour Michel had a cutter that he could out behind his tractor. Yesterday JJ told us that Michel would cut the grass this week. But today when we got back from doing some shopping in Gourdon, we found that Michel had cut the grass this morning.

The kindness of our neighbours has saved us a lot of hard work.

Sue's been cleaning some of the stones in the stairs passage. Because it used to be open to the elements, some of the stones had a coating of green moss and Sue wanted to clean them off before I do the joints.

Slow steady progress is now our motto!
