A New Year

... and the resolutions have gone out the window already.  Short days, morning frosts (anywhere between -5 and -15 deg C) and nowhere to go!

However, we're trying to make the best of it, thanks to videos on Youtube ... sad aren't we.

But seriously, Sue keeps herself busy with her evolving plans for the garden and ways to change things to better cope with a growing year when temperatures fluctuate between -15 and +40 !!!  This year everything is more complicated, we can no longer order plants or seeds from the UK since Brexit kicked in on January 1st, so she is spending hours on the internet sourcing them within the EU or USA.

I'm supplying moral support, as well as playing with my writing projects ... enough said!

Despite the cold mornings, we have ventured out a few afternoons when the sun has been shining, Sue to clear dead vegetation and prune, and I'm now clearing leaves from the alley.  Past years the winds have magically made them disappear but this year we have a lot and they don't want to move.
