Get me to the Church ...

 He made it!

It was the registry office in Manchester actually.  So finally they have a piece of paper to prove that they are legally married.

We all went to celebrate in a nearby bar and naturally we had champagne!

We spent an enjoyable couple of hours celebrating, a quick rest and them we joined a few more friends in a Thai restaurant.

So now they are back to Taiwan, via a couple of weeks in Turkey and we are back home to recover!

Prodigal Son

At last ... after the hiatus of Covid, Guy and his fiancĂ©e Lucy have made it to us here in France.

They are staying with us until 19th October when we are all flying to England for their 'official' wedding in Manchester on the 21st.

As part of how to occupy them, we took them to Barcelona for a few days. We stayed in an apartment overlooking the Cathedral.

Sue and I were particularly keen to go back to see the Sagrada Familia.  What a disappointment!  Heaving with tourists all taking selfies!!!  Spoilt by it's own success.

We then moved on to a friend's gite on the Costa Brava coast and the weather was lovely.

So we're back home and the bulb planting has begun.

No peace for the wicked.
