Plodding On

Our previous optimism that we were fighting fit was a little misplaced!  We have needed about 3 weeks to get over our 'flu' and progress in the garden has not been as speedy as we had hoped.  However, we are now plodding on, dodging the showers and creeping up the Serpentine bed infront of the house planting the last 1000 tulip bulbs.

The trusty little auger has proved invaluable!

Life resumes

Well, we're finally trying to carry on as 'normal'.  We have both had 'Flu' upon returning from England (obviously we were not prepared for English bugs) but after a week of feeling poorly we seem now to be over it.  So we have a lot of bulbs to plant.  We planted a couple of hundred daffodils 'White Lion' before we went to the Uk but we have lots more to plant. So, last wek we planted 500 Anemone Blanda along the allée to boost those which we plant a few years ago!

And yesterday we planted 200 yellow Crocuses on the field side of the allée trees which we see from the house, plus a quantity of Tulips from last year (which may or may not make a show!)

Lady planting and man with 'truc' to make holes.

Lovely looking bulbs which needed to be planted.

Only another 2500 tulips now to plant!
